The Miracle of Hernando County
Opening day, June 21, 2003, showed 100 percent promise of rain, but the kids said it would not rain because they had prayed to God that it wouldn’t. It rained that day all around the park, but there was a two-block barrier with no rain on the park itself. The sun shone brightly on the park that day. A six-foot granite monument now stands at the entrance of this park as a memorial to the young skater who died doing what he loved.
